Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) did whatever he could to prevent the murder of her mother from happening, only to mess up with his timeline and, in general, with the multiverse. By the end of the film, it appeared he had managed to bring the situation back to normal. After attending his father’s successful appeal, Barry is on the phone with Bruce Wayne as he exits the courthouse. Seconds later, a fancy car reveals the presence of Bruce himself, only sporting a different appearance than the one Barry recalls. And the new person portraying Bruce Wayne is Clooney, who replaced Ben Affleck in the new timeline.
Clooney’s one isn’t the only Bruce Wayne Barry encounters in his latest adventure. The movie opens with Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight saving the city from some bioterrorist. Then, The Flash joins forces with Michael Keaton‘s caped crusader before ultimately meeting Clooney’s Batman. It sounds complicated, but it all makes sense eventually.
Clooney made his first appearance as Bruce Wayne in the Joel Schumacher-directed Batman & Robin. The movie premiered in 1997 and featured the titular heroes (Robin was portrayed by Chris O’Donnell) clashing with Mr. Freeze (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and Poison Ivy (Uma Thurman). The film received poor reviews from critics and fans alike.
