Although Mortal Kombat fans generally seem to like Smoke and Rain's new designs in Mortal Kombat 1, a lot of them are missing the former's long "smoky" hair from Mortal Kombat 9.

Yesterday, NetherRealm Studios held its first Kombat Kast livestream for Mortal Kombat 1, which featured a deep dive into Scorpion and Johnny Cage, as well as a new story trailer that focused on the Lin Kuei. The most exciting thing to come from that trailer was the confirmation that Smoke and Rain are going to be part of the launch roster, complete with new designs that set them apart from how they've appeared in previous Mortal Kombat games.
