You won’t have to wait long to try out Mortal Kombat 1 – in fact, the game’s pre-order beta is just weeks away. NetherRealm Studios has confirmed that the game’s promotional test will get underway from 18th August through 21st August, and you’ll just need to have a valid PS5 pre-order to participate.

It’s also announced the playable characters you can expect to put through their paces: Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Kenshi, Kitana, Johnny Cage, and Li Mei. Meanwhile, selectable Kameos will include: Kano, Sonya, Jax, and Frost. And the available stages will include The Teahouse and Johnny Cage’s Mansion. Anyone who pre-orders the game at participating retailers will be eligible for a download code to try out this beta, so you shouldn’t have to jump through too many hoops to take part. To get the code to try the game. It's a fairly common practice. Amazon is usually a good site to do this with. Are you saying you're not aware of people doing this kind of thing?
I don't preorder as all too often games are not released in a fit condition to justify £70 at launch.
