Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3 is doing fantastic numbers on PC, nearing almost 600,00 peak concurrent players on Steam. However, bugs are still a thing, even after nearly three years of early access and six years of development. Fortunately, the first hotfix is now available and addresses a nasty issue where players couldn’t save.
Cross-saves are reportedly the culprit, and since the PS5 version is out next month, Larian has disabled the feature and will work on it in the meantime. Steam Cloud and regular saves should be unaffected. Otherwise, there are fixes for progression blockers and crashes, like players getting stuck in a dialogue when first meeting a major boss.
Check some of the hotfix notes below and the full notes here (though there are some story spoilers, so beware). Baldur’s Gate 3 arrives on September 6th for PS5, but it’s already the second biggest Steam launch of the year.
