The yet-to-be-revealed Nintendo Switch successor may not be too far from release, judging from some information that surfaced online from a somewhat reliable source.
As reported on the Gaming Leaks and Rumors subreddit, Chinese investment website MoneyDJ expects Hongzhun, a metal cases manufacturer, to see an increase in sales in the second half of the year due to Nintendo planning to launch its new console in the first quarter of 2024. It isn't specified if it is the first quarter of the calendar or fiscal year, but still, if this information is correct, it will likely not take much longer to learn more about what Nintendo has in store for the future.
While there's currently no way of knowing if this release window for the Nintendo Switch successor is correct, MondeyDJ did reveal information correctly regarding the Nintendo Switch production back in 2016, when it was still known by the NX codename, so there may be some truth in what has been revealed today.
Judging from official statements, however, it's likely that, if correct, the Q1 release window for the Nintendo Switch successor refers to the actual first quarter of 2024, as back in May, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa revealed that no new hardware will be released before the end of the current fiscal year, which ends on March 31st, 2024. It was also confirmed that the console may release not too long after its announcement, so, with dev kits seemingly already in the hands of some developers, it definitely feels like an official reveal may not be too far off in the future.
