EA and Nintendo have revealed that, for the first time, this year’s installment of EA’s football game—EA Sports FC 24—will be getting more features on the Nintendo Switch than previous iterations of the game, which went by the FIFA moniker.
This means that, alongside being developed on the Frostbite Engine for the Nintendo Switch, the game will also include features that have been missing from FIFA games on the Switch, including the incredibly-popular Ultimate Team game mode.
The game mode has traditionally been a part of FIFA games for quite some time, but the Nintendo Switch versions of the yearly franchise had stagnated, offering little more than roster updates over previous iterations. With EA Sports FC 24, however, EA is looking to bring better feature parity to the Nintendo Switch version of the game.
EA Sports FC 24 got a trailer earlier this week, along with a September 29 release date on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. Interestingly, while the base version on all other platforms is priced at $69.99, the Nintendo Switch version is priced at $59.99.
