Diablo Immortal is previewing its 16th Battle Pass, “Howling Terror” making more changes to ensure fairer Battleground play and detailing some new features on the way.
When it comes to Battleground matches, all players need to be able to contribute to their team during the time that they're active. The Diablo Immortal team is increasing penalties for inactivity during a Battleground. A first infraction will get a 5-minute queue penalty, and a second will be a 30-minute queue penalty. If you do it a third time, you will not be able to cue for a Battleground match until the next daily reset. The team is also promising Battleground matchmaking improvements are on the way.
Warband Activity rewards for Helliquary bosses will change to bring them in line with other rewards of a similar nature. Defeating a Helliquary boss will grant Warband Activity for each time you defeat that boss, based on the difficulty.
The upcoming 16th battle pass will begin on August 3rd, but we're getting a preview now of the centerpiece cosmetics. The pass, which will run through August 31st, will let you take on the look of Shumbeel the Howling Terror. This is just the first hint, but there will be, as usual, 40 ranks of challenges to complete and rewards to earn in both free and premium options.
NetEase is also highlighting several features, with two of them debuting in China and expanding to other regions later. The first, Wild Brawl, Is described as “a new PVP activity” and will later be released to all regions. Deeds of Valor get some new updates that are now out in China and will also come to all other regions. Six Star Casting, is a limited time event that is currently set to remain China exclusive.
