Minecraft obviously isn't the most graphically demanding game out there, and it's often brought up as an example whenever someone is arguing about the everlasting graphics versus gameplay debate. That doesn't mean its fans don't want it to look the best that it possibly can though, and the game's latest preview build has added a bunch of new tools that will let you customize certain graphics options such as lighting, shadows, and a whole lot more.
This is all thanks to the the game's new graphics engine called the Render Dragon, which is rolling out a number of new features across Minecraft Bedrock Edition platforms. These features are described by Mojang as "experimental" and will allow creators to customize certain features during add-on development, with the team promising a lot more improvements over time.

If you want to know the nitty gritty of these features, Mojang goes into the technical side of it in a blog post accompanying the announcement, but here's the short version for all you that simply want to know what you'll be able to adjust. Available in Preview, you'll be able to customize PBR materials, primary lighting from the sun and moon, shadows, bloom, and tone mapping. Better yet, you'll be able to do all of this without even needing an RTX graphics card.
There are a few things to note before you go check these features out, the most important being that they're currently only available on Windows, Xbox, and Android devices. Mojang is promising to bring them to more platforms in the future, though doesn't provide any specific dates.
