Modern Warfare 3 finally has a release date, and it’s coming sooner than we thought! We now know that the logo of MW3 is red which is exciting, but what about the release date, editions, platforms, and slide canceling? Here’s what you need to know.

While there are many amazing indie games from Devolver Digital delayed, MW3 is on track to come out later this year. In a new reveal trailer, we learned that the official release date for Modern Warfare 3 is November 10, 2023. It’s a short hype trailer, but you can watch it for yourself below!
Because the reveal trailer is so short, we don’t know much about the various MW3 editions that will be available. When Modern Warfare 2 came out, of course, there were pre-order bonuses, but there was only two editions: one Standard Edition and one Vault Edition.
If I had to guess, I would say we are getting a Standard and Vault Edition of Modern Warfare 3. We’ll have to wait and see if that is true, and what is offered in those editions, but it’s fair to say that MW3 will have two or three editions along with pre-order bonuses.
We also can make a safe bet that Modern Warfare 3 will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. I doubt MW3 will come to the Switch at launch, but that probably will happen in the future.
In a hidden detail discovered by those lucky enough to get an early Collector’s Edition of Modern Warfare 3, Activision hinted at bringing slide cancel back. In the package, observant gamers noticed that they received flip-flops, a can, and a cellphone. Slides + Can + Cell. Activision, you’re not that slick.
