While clashing with the dark Speedster, Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) and his 2013 variant get to see a glimpse of the many DC superheroes from other universes as the whole multiverse is about to implode. One of those universes features Christopher Reeve’s Superman alongside Helen Slater’s Supergirl. The pair doesn’t do much except for observing what’s going on. Their world collided with another universe where Superman had the appearance of Nicholas Cage and, ultimately, collapsed. Of course, producers relied on CGI to make the Reeve cameo happen as the actor passed away in 2004.
Reeve is one of the most beloved actors ever portraying Clark Kent. He first took up the red cape in 1978’s Superman before returning in Superman II (1980), Superman III (1983), and Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987). Following a horse-riding accident in 1995 that left him paralyzed from the neck down, Reeve became a powerful advocate for spinal cord research and treatment.
His legacy as an actor and a symbol of hope for people with disabilities continues to inspire many. Reeve’s cameo in The Flash was accidentally spoiled on social networks. To put it mildly, the fans’ first reaction wasn’t the best, as many complained of the strange color of the actor’s face, somewhere between green and gray.
