AMD's Starfield game promotional bundle is heading to Ryzen 7000 CPUs & Radeon RX 7000 / 6000 GPUs next week.
It looks like AMD Ryzen 7000 Desktop CPUs aren't the only hardware getting bundled with a free copy of Starfield. AMD's official Taiwan webpage has now listed the Starfield bundle which will be opening on the 11th of July, 2023 at 9 PM TPE and last till the 28th of October, 2023. The bundled game will be available with select Ryzen 7000 Desktop CPUs & Radeon RX 7000 / 6000 GPUs.
Now what's interesting is that AMD will be offering two separate editions of Starfield with its CPUs and GPUs. The Starfield Premium Edition, valued at 2890 NTD or $92 US ($99.99 US on Steam) will be bundled with higher-end hardware while the mainstream hardware will be getting the standard edition of the game which is valued at 1990 NTD or $63 US ($69.99 US on Steam). Do note that the pricing for the game varies depending on the region. Following are the eligible AMD Ryzen CPUs & Radeon GPUs:
For those of you who missed out on the previous announcements, Bethesda has selected AMD as the exclusive PC partner for Starfield. The company has announced that the game will feature FSR 2 support on launch and will also get specific multi-threaded optimizations targetting AMD Ryzen CPUs.
There has been some backlash to the exclusivity announcement since Bethesda itself has only so far listed support for AMD's FSR 2 upscaling technology. NVIDIA DLSS and Intel XeSS support has not been mentioned yet but considering that most AMD-sponsored and bundled AAA titles don't feature competitive upscaling solutions, it might be the case here too. As for the PC requirements, Starfield will be dropping support for HDDs and requires an SSD for optimal gameplay.
