Eric «ConcernedApe» Barone has pushed out yet another new update for the hit life sim Stardew Valley that fans on PC can download right now. Just recently, ConcernedApe released Stardew Valley Update 1.6, which added substantial new content to the game, including new festivals, items, and a lot more.
From the new Meadowlands farm type to the new dialogue options, Stardew Valley Update 1.6 should have no problem keeping fans of the game busy for the long haul. Prior to the update's release, ConcernedApe confirmed that he would focus on fixing bugs and various issues that the update may inadvertently introduce to the game, and he wasted no time doing just that, with fans now able to check out Update 1.6.1.
ConcernedApe recently revealed the Stardew Valley Update 1.6.1 patch notes, which fixes various issues with crashing, bugs, and other errors. The new update fixes an issue with the Meadowlands farm where the quest would persist if the farm icon was selected, but another farm was started. It fixes an issue where the game would crash whenever a Stardew Valley farmhand would re-connect to town during green rain, and a crash associated with the animal page. The takeaway is that Stardew Valley should be an even smoother experience after downloading Update 1.6.1.
It's possible that there are more Stardew Valley bugs and glitches that need ironed out, but otherwise the next step is to bring Update 1.6 to consoles and mobile devices so all fans of the game can check out the new content. A timetable for when Stardew Valley Update 1.6 is coming to other platforms has not been released, but more information on that front should hopefully come to light sooner rather than later.
Update 1.6 has already been a massive success for PC players, so it's no wonder those on consoles and mobile are anxious to try it for themselves. Stardew Valley is enjoying a big player count boost in the wake of the update, and one has to imagine it will have a similar effect for players on other platforms
