How To Get (& Use) Mannequins In Stardew Valley
In, Mannequins allow players to display their favorite items of clothing and provide a fun space for showing off outfits. Unlike many other items, Mannequins can’t actually be crafted and instead have to be bought using hard-earned Gold. However, players should also watch out for a more sinister version of the Mannequin that causes all kinds of strange occurrences during the night.
To get a Mannequin for the Farmhouse, players must journey to the Calico Desert and visit Sandy, proprietor of the Oasis. It’s possible that players may have already visited the Desert for the new Desert Festival event in Spring. However, getting to the Desert can be expensive, particularly for new players just starting out on their farms.
Sandy sells male and female variants of the Mannequin for 12,000 Gold at the Oasis in the Calico Desert. Access to the Calico Desert is unlocked by repairing the Bus, which requires completing a few Community Center Bundles in Pelican Town. Players must complete all four Bundles in the Vault area which requires a total of 42,500 Gold.
Players working with JojaMart can instead purchase the Bus Repair Community Development Project for 40,000 Gold.
The quickest and easiest way to make Gold is to focus on most profitable items. Many of these items can be produced and sold within a few seasons as long as farmers invest in the right processing equipment. Once the Bus is repaired, players can purchase a ticket to the Calico Desert and visit Sandy in the Oasis.
To make your trip to the Desert worth the cost, consider spending some time in the Desert. Sandy sells seeds for Starfruit, a highly profitable crop. The Desert also features rare forage such as Coconuts and Cactus Fruit, and the rare Sandfish can be caught in the Calico Desert’s pond.
Once you have a Mannequin, it can be placed inside the Farmhouse. Clicking on the Mannequin with an item of clothing will transfer it onto the Mannequin, and players can even transfer their whole outfit at once. To
