A Dragon’s Dogma 2 player has encountered a Pawn resembling Samuel L Jackson’s character, Jules, from Pulp Fiction. Pawns form a useful part of Dragon’s Dogma 2, joining the player’s adventure to assist in defeating tough enemies and finding rare items.
Players create their first Pawn as part of Dragon’s Dogma 2 tutorial, with additional NPCs being hired through The Rift. These Rift Pawns are a mix of user-generated and Capcom creations and can be added to any party for the right price. With players able to create their Pawns for hire, it was only a matter of time before fans started seeing some unique creations cropping up in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
To this end, Redditor VermilionX88 spotted a unique Pawn from Dragon’s Dogma 2 that resembles Samual L Jackson’s character from Quentin Tarantino’s 1994 movie Pulp Fiction. The character comes complete with an angry stare and long mustache, leading fans to compare the NPC with Jackson’s portrayal of Jules Winnfield. The find has gone down well with fans, amassing over 2.3k upvotes at the time of writing and most of the comments are seemingly impressed by the find. One of the comments even calls for the character code to be posted, so they can add the Pawn to their Dragon’s Dogma 2 party without having to search the vast Rift.
While players seem happy with the deep character customization tools within Capcom's latest RPG, the Japanese developer has set out plans for future updates to Dragon’s Dogma 2 to improve the Pawn system further. The most recent update implements changes to Pawns, so they are more helpful in battles, particularly when players are being grappled, along with more dialogue options.
Even with these updates, players are still concerned about the performance of Dragon’s Dogma 2. Capcom has confirmed it is looking into an issue where the framerate for the PC version drops significantly as the game loads in multiple NPCs. Even with no confirmed timeline for this issue to be fixed, some gamers are taking matters
