Microsoft has officially announced the four games that are coming to the Xbox Game Pass subscription service in the first half of May 2024. New games are added to Xbox Game Pass in two waves every month. The first wave typically takes up the first 15 days of the month, while the second wave comes in the back-half of any given month. As expected, Microsoft has now revealed all the games coming in the first wave of new Xbox Game Pass additions for May 2024.
Before Xbox Game Pass subscribers jump into the May 2024 games, they may want to take the time to check out the new addition that was added just recently. Roguelike game Have a Nice Death is now available on Xbox Game Pass, with subscribers able to check it out across the cloud, consoles, and PC. It, along with the other new games that were added to Xbox Game Pass in April 2024, should go a long way in keeping fans occupied while they wait for the May 2024 lineup.
The four Xbox Game Pass games officially announced for the first half of May 2024 are Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on May 2, Kona 2: Brume on May 7, Little Kitty, Big City on May 9, and the Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons remake on May 14. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons was leaked for Game Pass ahead of the official announcement. It's an enhanced version of the award-winning 2013 game by Josef Fares with improved graphics and added co-op support.
Out of the four new games coming to Xbox Game Pass in the first half of May 2024, only one is a day one release. Day one game Little Kitty, Big City is an open world game where players cause havoc as a cat exploring a city. Its silly tone has drawn some comparisons to Untitled Goose Game, and it will be interesting to see if it lives up to expectations come its May 9 launch date.
While they weren't part of the May 2024 Wave 1 reveal, previous release date announcements have clued fans in on two additional games that are coming to Xbox Game Pass in May 2024. Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 will be added to Xbox Game Pass
