"Ward Cheese" Explained - Can One Shot Raid Bosses
«Ward Cheese» has been seen in title of LFG groups and is very powerful. Here's how «Ward Cheese» works and some ways to maximize your usage.
What is Ward Cheese
Ward Cheese is a strategy that is used to overpower a lot of the raid content in the game using «clever use of game mechanics». When an entire raid group uses the «Ward Cheese», you can one shot bosses!
Here's the gems that a raid would expect players to use the Ward Cheese at a baseline.

- Lifestorm
How to Do the Ward Cheese (in LFG)
To set up a raid group for the Ward Cheese, here's the common strategy. It's a lot simpler now due to a recent hotfix preventing external modifiers from working.
- The raid should choose one designed player to be the «Ward Target».
The Ward Target should equip Lifestorm - Every other person in the raid should equip Ward of Salvation
- When the boss is pulled, every player with Ward of Salvation should use it on the assigned player.
- The Ward Target stand be in a corner, or at the very least against a wall. This makes it so that Lifestorm pools spawn clumped and the Ward Target can soak multiple pools.
- All healers should spam into the Ward target as much as possible.
The idea is that you stack all the Ward of Salvation on one target and pump heals into them making it so that get a massive shield which detonates and one shots the boss.
Each time the Ward target is healed, EVERY Ward that is placed on the target individually increases with the healing done to the target. More Wards means exponential scaling with healing. You can also toss in some Vindication healing as well!
