A new update for the Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection is now available across all platforms, developer Aspyr has announced. The remastered collection, which launched back in March, bundles together the first two original Star Wars Battlefront titles.
Ready to download on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch, there are more fixes than you could wave a double-ended lightsaber at, targeting everything from server issues and crashes to map-specific glitches.
Despite some technical problems, we were pretty positive about the game in our Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection review, scoring it a 7/10 say that: “at the end of the day that’s the chief purpose of these remasters: to offer fans a way to play these older Star Wars Battlefront titles on current consoles, with slightly spruced up visuals, and the option to play online. They’re still inherently rough around the edges and play a little clunky, but the Classics Collection does what it says on the tin, giving these beloved games a quick dip in the Bacta tank instead of attempting to forge them anew.”
