Samsung’s launch intentions for its upcoming flagship tablet range are currently in the dark, but that does not mean that we cannot have our first look at the company’s most premium slate that will arrive in the near future, the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. Unfortunately, those who were expecting the device to shift away from sharing almost the same physical characteristics as the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will be disappointed because the newest image gallery barely shows any difference from its direct predecessor.
Thanks to the efforts of @OnLeaks and Android Headlines, we get our first look at the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. The tablet features the same notch as the one present in last year’s model, along with a large display. According to the details, the upcoming flagship slate will roughly measure 326.4mm x 208.6mm x 5.45mm, making it barely different than the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. This lack of design or dimensions change suggests that the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra will only offer a small specifications upgrade, meaning that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 might only power its innards. Just a chipset change might not warrant a purchase from customers.
However, one needs to realize that Android tablets are not exactly selling in droves, so there is little to no financial benefit for Samsung to revamp the entire design of the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra if there is no exceptional amount of money to be made from this model. In fact, we have learned that the Korean giant might be progressing towards a cost-saving approach with its Galaxy Tab S10 range in which not all models will feature a Snapdragon SoC. According to an earlier report, the less expensive version, the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus, is said to ship with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+.
