One of the more common complaints regarding the romantic system in ConcernedApe's farming RPG is that once players settle down with a spouse, their selected character loses a great deal of their personality, becoming almost a mindless robot that just hands around the property. While the latest patch fixes that, this revamped mod makes it even better.
Posted to Nexus Mods by Agent Lyoko, the «Date Night Redux» mod updates the classic version of the mod so that it's compatible with 1.6. While most of the content will be familiar to those who played the original version of the add-on, the Redux version fixes many bugs and errors that have lingered since the first iteration was released or were caused by the arrival of the latest content patch. Aside from this, the mod also tweaks several interactions and dialogue exchanges to fit better in line with what the community has come to expect from the game's characters.
Much like the original Date Night mod for older iterations of, the Redux version includes several unique events for players to trigger after they propose and marry an NPC. These are broken into either «Generic Dates» or «Spouse-specific Dates» and are usually affected by the time of year and the weather. Players can go on Forest/Picnic Dates during any season that's not winter, take their lover on a Library Date if the weather is especially chilly during Winter, or simply dance on the porch before the work day.
Players are able to marry 12 NPCs in: Maru, Leah, Abigail, Sam, Alex, Harvey, Haley, Emily, Sebastian, Penny, Elliot, and Shane.
