A Honkai: Star Rail leak has revealed fresh details about the Apocalyptic Shadow mode, which will reportedly be released in update 2.3. Several leaks regarding Honkai: Star Rail's update 2.3 have recently emerged online, giving players an insight into the upcoming content. The game's next version is rumored to bring new planar ornaments, relics, and a PvP event in which players must take on each other to claim generous rewards.
Honkai: Star Rail features several combat modes, such as Pure Fiction, Simulated Universe, and Memory of Chaos, that consist of stages and pit Trailblazers against a roster of enemies. These endgame activities provide ascension materials, Stellar Jades, relics, and more unique rewards. In every update, they make several changes to their enemy lineups to offer players a real combat challenge.
The latest Honkai: Star Rail leak from Firefly Lover disclosed new information about the Apocalyptic Shadow mode, revealing that it will consist of multiple challenges. According to its description, this combat-oriented mode will set players against at least two bosses and a formidable roster of enemies. As in Honkai: Star Rail's Pure Fiction, Trailblazers will collect scores in the Apocalyptic Shadow to obtain precious rewards. One thing to note is that the difficulty and rewards of the mode won't be affected by the player's Equilibrium Level.
The Apocalyptic Shadow mode will have its own rules and give bosses some unique traits that could make the combat even harder. Moreover, it will prevent players from performing several actions, such as changing team setup, upgrading units, and consuming potion items. As in Honkai: Star Rail's Simulated Universe, there will be unique effects in each stage of the Apocalyptic Shadow.
According to the leak, the Apocalyptic Shadow mode will reportedly offer Self-Modeling Resins and at least 800 Stellar Jades, which roughly translate into six pulls. Furthermore, it will give a free copy of the four-star Quantum unit
