A Fallout 4 player has created an enormous junk-themed town within the game. Fallout 4 has had a huge increase in players recently, thanks in part to the renewed interest from the Fallout TV show on Amazon Prime. Fans have been getting involved in almost every Fallout title, from the original games to the more recent Fallout 76.
Fallout 4 has a central game mechanic around building settlements, so much so that it’s part of the main questlines with a character named Preston Garvey. Fallout 4 was the first game in the franchise to establish player structures in this capacity, with the next title, Fallout 76 taking inspiration from the mechanic with its C.A.M.P. system. There have been a few expansions focused on this aspect of the game in Fallout 4, with Wasteland Workshop, Contraptions Workshop, andVault-Tec Workshop.
A Reddit user by the name of Sirbalz posted an image of the junk town they made in Fallout 4 on May 7. The large waterfront settlement includes a large sign floating off the water that says “Murk Water.” The player even included a YouTube video showcasing the town with shops, NPCs, and various facilities. Listed within the video description is some lore the Fallout fan wrote for their settlement. The fan-crafted lore mentions the Commonwealth, several in-game locations, as well as Preston Garvey, one of Fallout 4’s main characters, who is infamous for his ongoing settlement requests.
The Fallout series as a whole has gained a ton of renewed interest since the Fallout TV show’s release, with Fallout 4 player counts increasing by over 629% in April. Fallout 4 has been one of Bethesda’s best-selling games, selling over 25 million units since 2015. The game is set within the Commonwealth area of Boston, Massachusetts, and follows the story of the Sole Survivor as they look for their lost son.
