The remake will be released on October 8, 2024 — almost two years to the day after its initial announcement, and just in time for Halloween. Only two weeks before its release on September 25, the original will celebrate its 23rd anniversary.

The remake of is currently only planned for release on PS5 and PC, although that doesn't mean releases for other platforms are impossible.
