Night City is a truly dangerous place, and recently released statistics have revealed some of the most dangerous encounters in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. The base Cyberpunk 2077 took players to Night City, a gritty futuristic dystopia where crime and corruption rule on every corner. As Cyberpunk 2077 protagonist V, players struggle to survive in this rough environment while making a name for themselves among the legends of Night City — even with dangerous enemies like the infamous Adam Smasher gunning for them at every turn.
Last year, CD Projekt Red finally released Cyberpunk 2077’s first and only major story expansion in Phantom Liberty, which takes V to Dogtown to follow a lead on a potential cure for the AI slowly taking over their mind. From the start, it's clear that this new setting is no walk in the park, as Dogtown was once referred to as simply “the Combat Zone” and is actively ignored by the already unscrupulous law enforcement of Night City. This means that Dogtown is crawling with enemies looking to take V down, but the most dangerous force in Phantom Liberty might not be a criminal or paramilitary unit.
Developer CDPR recently shared some stats about Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty on the game’s official Twitter account, revealing the deadliest encounters in the game. The highest body count comes from the Cyberpunk 2077 boss battle against the Militech Chimera 0005-C M combat mech, which has claimed the virtual lives of over 3,000,000 players since the DLC launched last September. In second place is the Militech Cerberus MK-II robot, which killed over 2,900,000 players during its boss encounter. However, the third most common cause of death in Phantom Liberty isn’t from a boss fight at all, but rather the catwalks in the derelict garages under Dogtown Stadium.
