Posted to Reddit by user Man_Of_The_Banished, the player discovered that during the Birds With Broken Wings quests, just after V receives their face implant that allows them to give up their previous identity, users can walk around the Ripperdoc's office and find their old face.
While many may assume the face implant is simply a plate that sits underneath one's chin or even below the skin of the face, it requires the patient to have their face removed completely. The original face is then preserved in what appears to be a vat of liquid should it ever be needed.

The discovery of V's old face being preserved is a detail that many players will likely miss given how easy it is to overlook. Those who want to see it will need to immediately scope out Farida's office before leaving to continue the game; the face can be seen on the right of the left of the lab just before players exit back out onto the streets of Night City. Other users noted that, if looked at from the correct angle, players can actually see that it's not just the face that's in the tube as V's entire body can be seen lying parallel to the ground in what must be an eerie bug to witness firsthand.
