Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown may not subscribe to Ubisoft's trademark open world and live service formula, but that isn't stopping the developer from giving the game a lot of post-launch support. Confirmed during the company's summer showcase, the action platformer has a new 'Divine Trials' update — which is out now — and it's getting a proper story DLC in September, called The Mask of Darkness.
The aforementioned update brings «22 expert challenges» to the release, ranging from supercharged boss battles to insane puzzle rooms. Beating them will net you new accessories and outfits.
Are you still playing The Lost Crown? Might you be leaping back in for this update, or the upcoming DLC? Remember to time your dodges in the comments section below.
Robert (or Rob if you're lazy) has been a fan of PlayStation since the 90s, when Tekken 2 introduced him to the incredible world of video games. He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he's played 'em all. A little too much, some might say.
So many of my friends made jokes about the hair, and as someone who has their very own culture represented by this franchise, I honestly don’t mind it and will pick up the game when I could. The hair jokes are still hilarious though.
This game was a big sleeper hit for me. Loved it so much, especially the boss fights. So if this DLC does not have a true Boss Rush mode, I hope there will be one added in the future.
It’s on my backlog but I intend to play it someday. I played through a bit of the intro a while back and I’m very much looking forward to diving back in once I’ve gotten through some other titles I’ve been sitting on.
One of my favourite games of the year so far!
