Sony has pushed out updates for several of its classic PS Plus Premium releases, adding Platinums to all of them. While many of its emulated first-party PS1 and PSP games have launched with Trophies, third-parties have generally been allowed to forego the feature. But now, the likes of Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue, Toy Story 3, Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare, and Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus all have gongs to unlock.
In the case of the two Toy Story titles, you’ll be tasked with finishing the games and finding their collectibles. Alone in the Dark will ask you to beat a bunch of bosses, collect all of the weapons, and find some secret relics – while Oddworld includes some more sinister gameplay challenges, like causing Abe to die from an electric wall or by falling to his doom.
While all of these Trophies are unexpected additions, it’ll be interesting if it continues to roll out more gongs to the likes of Ridge Racer, Tekken, and more. Either way, it’s great to see Sony continuing to stick to its emulation strategy, and we’re looking forward to all the additions set to follow in the future now that PS2 is a supported platform as well.

See Sony? This is how you make me stick with Premium. It is only what I bought your top tier subscription for two years ago.
Very welcome change, hopefully the entire classic selection can be updated in this way to make revisiting old games a fresh challenge.
This is awesome! Hoping they add trophies to Star Wars Rebel Assault 2
