During the Xbox Showcase, we got our first proper look at the recently re-named Dragon Age: The Veilguard, with the CGI trailer BioWare opted for promptly getting torn to shreds by starving fans. In response (probably), the developer has released a sneak peek at gameplay ahead of a longer showing planned for tomorrow. We are pleased to report that it looks like the proper, grimdark Dragon Age we all know and love.
In the exceedingly brief clip, we see protagonist Rook and one-time companion Varric arriving in the almost Gotham-like city of Minrathous. Atmospheric and brooding, lit by roving searchlights, the cityscape is a sight for sore eyes, and the character models and animations have completely recalibrated our expectations for the game.

Looks good in that tweet. That Cinematic trailer at the Xbox event looked lame. So the first impressions were not good.
I told you take away the Borderlands Splash screen nonsense and it actually looked pretty promising.

Looks pretty damn good and very detailed there. Not bad! Still a little old school fable style with the art direction though.
