may already be one of the most immersive games on the market but those players who want to really feel the atmosphere of Night City should absolutely check out this new mod. As V spends their time journeying around the dystopian metropolis they call home, they'll be exposed to all manner of unique weather patterns, although rain is probably the most common, fitting with the cyberpunk genre. Having everything slicked with water is a great way to emphasize the game's impressive visuals, but sometimes, it's nice to experience a little variety.
Posted to Nexus Mods by user CyanideX, the «Nova City — Custom Weather» mod allows users to tweak and refine Night City's weather to any condition they want, including some more unique options in the form of fog, sandstorms, and even toxic rain to better suit the destroyed environment. The mod, which is still in beta, will eventually allow players to seamlessly program and transition between different forms of weather, making Night City even more immersive and detailed. To make it even more appealing, it even overhauls particle effects and lighting to make the weather look even more impressive.
After the release of Phantom Liberty, Cyberpunk 2077 is more complete than its ever been, but the game could still use one last feature.
Perhaps what's most impressive about «Nova City — Custom Weather» is the level of customization available to users as it offers multiple variations on the established modes. Players don't just have to settle for «Fog,» they can shift between «Drizzle,» «Fog (Wet),» «Fog (Dense),», and even a full-blown Smog as the air mixes with Night City's pollution. Given that the mod is only in beta and it already offers such a vast range of options, users can likely expect even more polish and weather mods in future updates.
