Have fun playing Hades 2 or whatever other new games you're enjoying at the moment as before you know it, anything anyone in gaming is talking about again will be Elden Ring. The 2022 Game of the Year's Shadow of the Erdtree expansion will be released on June 21 and if its reveal trailer is anything to go by, the DLC will almost double the game's scope. To celebrate Shadow of the Erdtree's release, Bandai Namco is running a competition, and the grand prize is a lifesize statue of Messmer the Impaler.
Since Messmer is a boss being introduced via the upcoming DLC, you might not be aware of quite how tall he is, and hence how much room in your home this statue promises to occupy. Messmer is so tall, the statue might not fit into your house at all. The Impaler is ten feet tall, and so is the statue that Bandai will be giving to one very lucky Elden Ring fan. To be in with a chance of calling this massive one-of-a-kind Messmer your own, you will need to put your video editing skills to the test.
Bandai wants Elden Ring fans to put together videos celebrating The Lands Between. The videos must be under five minutes long and effectively double as trailers for the base game. The studio has even dubbed the category for deciding who gets the Messmer statue "Best Trailer". There will be other categories too which demonstrates just how much Bandai is expecting from Elden Ring's talented fan base, and topping those categories will get you some pretty sweet runner-up prizes.
Come out on top in Bandai's Best Narrative, Action, and Direction categories, and you will bag yourself a replica of Malenia's arm. Malenia is also pretty big, and this replica is also lifesize, but since it's only an arm, it will fit through your front door. Impress Bandai in the Best Comedy, Use Of Sound, Armor Design, and Original Use Of Elden Ring categories, and you could win one of four Messmer the Impaler helmets. Possibly worth going for over the ten-foot statue as you'll stand a better chance
