With Arkane Austin shutting down and the previous update or Redfall being its last, players who own the Hero Pass won’t have anything to look forward to. Servers are also online for now, but the promised offline mode is also not happening. Despite the lack of updates on future content, IGN reports that the developer was working on a roadmap before its closure.
It had DLC and updates in development, with the Hero Pass content – which includes two new DLC characters – planned for launch this Halloween. There were expectations of the content launching, so the studio’s closure may have come out of nowhere for Arkane Austin. Xbox and Bethesda haven’t officially commented on this.
Regardless, those who purchased the Hero Pass with the Bite Back Edition or the premium upgrade for the same are eligible for credit back. Additional details have yet to be revealed, so stay tuned for further updates in the coming days.
