Atomfall, from Sniper Elite and Zombie Army developer Rebellion, appears to be Britain's answer to Fallout and S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and it's almost upon us, out next month on 27th March on PS5. The rolling hills and green countryside make for a perfect counterpoint to the grim realities of post-apocalyptic life, and we can't help but eagerly anticipate this one.
In an alternate history that diverges from our own, the UK's Windscale fire of 1957, the worst nuclear incident in the country's history, is not contained in time, kicking off a broader societal collapse. Set five years later in Northern England; players will ramble across the rolling hills and picturesque landscape, encountering the struggling survivors and mutated monstrosities that now call the British Isles home.
