Now officially confirmed for 28th August 2025, Konami has also revealed the Ape Escape mode it has bundled with PS5 versions of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. It's a mode exclusive to PS5 and PC, returning from the original PS2 version, but seemingly due to the ties it has with Sony, the Xbox Series X|S edition is replacing it with something else. Spotted by Wario64, the Xbox version of the State of Play trailer instead teases a Bomberman mode.
The phrase «Snake vs ???» is plastered over the silhouette of Bomberman, which would be an entirely new mode not seen in the game before. Presumably, it'll simply swap the Ape Escape character models out for Bombermen, but we'll have to await further details from Konami. The PC version of the trailer teases the Snake vs Monkey mode, so it seems PS5 and PC will share the content.
In the original version of Snake vs Monkey, you have to stun/tranquillize the faces of Ape Escape and then capture them across multiple stages. Konami says more details concerning the mode on PS5 will be shared in the future. It'll be interesting to see whether there are any meaningful differences between the PS5/PC and Xbox modes besides a character model swap.

By ye Gods Sony couldn't you just let Xbox have Ape Escape and not be so pedantic? You're not exactly doing anything with most of your dormant back catalogue and I doubt the PC audience is clamouring for some cheeky monkey business.
@Brundleflies21 Also true.
This is like the old days where each console receive their own multiplat version lol. Soul Calibur 2 comes to my mind with PS2 got Heihachi, Xbox got Spawn, and GC got Link.
@get2sammyb It would be odd if it
