ASTRO BOT – five new weekly speedrun levels and Special Bot updates begin rolling out today
Publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Team ASOBI will release the first in a series of five additional weekly updates for ASTRO BOT starting today at 6:00 a.m. PT / 9:00 a.m. ET, each adding a new speedrun level with a new Special Bot to rescue, the companies announced.
The full release schedule is as follows:
- February 13 – “Tick-Tock Shock”
- February 20 – “Thrust or Bust”
- February 27 – “Cock-A-Doodle-Doom”
- March 6 – “Hard to Bear”
- March 13 – “Armored Hardcore”
Each update will be available at 6:00 a.m. PT / 9:00 a.m. ET.
“Unlike our last update ‘Winter Wonder,’ which was a walk through the Xmas park, this new update features harder levels to test your jumping skills,” said Team ASOBI studio director Nicolas Doucet. “Each level comes with a brand-new Special Bot to rescue and, once that’s done, can be replayed in Time Attack mode with online rankings. To access these, you will need to have completed the main game. So sharpen those skills again and let’s get rescuing.”
In addition to the levels, the update will add PlayStation 5 Pro support, allowing users to enjoy an improved version of the game featuring a “constant best resolution while still running at 60 frames per second.”
ASTRO BOT is available now for PlayStation 5.
