Monster Hunter Wilds is going to be monstrous on PS5 this month, but even once you’ve worked through the presumably massive amounts of day one content, there’s more to look forward to.
As part of yesterday’s State of Play, publisher Capcom confirmed the game’s first free post-release updates.
“In the week after launch, Event Quests will be available,” Capcom’s Joseph Bustos confirmed on the PS Blog. “Take on these special quests to earn in-game armour with special looks.
“The first Free Title Update will arrive in Spring 2025, bringing the majestic monster Mizutsune to Monster Hunter Wilds. Stay tuned to see how this monster uses dance-like attacks and bubbles to attack with a balance of beauty and brutality.”
In other news, Capcom confirmed that PS5 Pro players will be able to take advantage of ray-tracing courtesy of a day one patch.
So there’s lots to look forward to with Monster Hunters Wilds, then, both at launch on 28th February – and beyond!
