A developer who worked on the 2013 original The Last of Us game has reacted to the Season 1 finale of the HBO show, which included the same Easter egg he put in the game all those years ago in tribute to his wife.This story contains spoilers about The Last of Us franchise.
When Joel and Ellie meet the giraffe and share a nice moment (before the heartbreak and violence to come), they are standing at an overlook with a baseball field in the distance. Developer Peter Field named the field «Bethany Clare Field» for his wife, and HBO included this in the show, too.
