Thanks to a newly discovered bug, Destiny 2 players are starting to lose emotes due to what many see as an invisible cap on how many can be owned at one time. Over the six years that Destiny 2 has been available, the popular shooter has been no stranger to bugs and glitches. Some have been relatively minor such as visual animation issues that were seen with some Hunter capes and cloaks, while others have managed to be highly publicized and game breaking such as the Hunter Strand super dealing crazy damage.
The exotic fusion rifle Telesto has been the cause of an alarmingly long list of issues over the years, though some updates that Destiny 2 has received have also had unexpected consequences. Certain exotic weapons and hear have been disabled for a set length of time while Bungie worked on a fix. In fact, just recently the One Thousand Voices exotic seems to be impacted by a damage bug when paired with the Radiant or Well of Radiance buff active. While not quite as alarming, one Destiny 2 player has seemingly come across another unintended issue with the game's UI.

In a new post on the Destiny 2 subReddit, a user named Its-Dooz seemingly confirmed that there seems to be a hard cap on the number of emotes a player can have unlocked. The discovery was accidentally stumbled upon by some of their friends called Snerv, Qip, BulkerGamer and Σχ şlαy3r, who saw that some of their green and blue rarity emotes were starting to disappear after hitting page 13 and 512 emotes in total. Thankfully, the missing emotes aren't deleted and can still be swapped through the Destiny 2 mobile app, but there appears to be a hard limit inside the game's menus.
