Cillian Murphy won't be in Far Cry 7, says Ubisoft leaker and YouTuber j0nathan.
This comes after j0nathan teased new details about the Far Cry sequel with a series of images, one being of actor Cillian Murphy. Many believed that this was j0nathan's way of suggesting Murphy would be in the game in some capacity, something the leaker now denies.
In response to the original post, j0nathan writes: "Mind you, I NEVER said Cillian Murphy was going to be in the game. The image means something else." This backs the other theories raised in the leaker's replies, such as the protagonist being called Murphy, or the game being set in Ireland.

In fact, previous reports have indicated that two games are in the works, with one being multiplayer-focused. That might mean that the second game is Far Cry 7, although it's unclear which one Ubisoft is prioritising at this time.
Still, we're rapidly approaching the summer months, so we could get something from official channels sooner rather than later. For the time being, Ubisoft has not commented on this latest wave of speculation, so it
