The Origin characters in are already so developed that they feel life-like as players work through the massive game, but cosplayers breathe an additional level of life to these well-loved characters. Shadowheart has become especially popular among players, and the versatility of her character in-game based on the player's influence makes her an interesting cosplay subject.
Frau_Haku's Shadowhear cosplay (via Reddit) not onlypays special attention to the little details about Shadowheart, like her shorter half-elf ears, but also incredibly recreates the Dark Justiciar armor, which was forged from almost 20kg of real metal. In the comments on the post, Frau_Haku shared that she worked directly with a team of blacksmiths to help the vision come to life – making the final look that much more impressive.
Frau_Haku has been working her way through a variety of other cosplays from, including an incredibly accurate and battle-worthy Lae’zel cosplay that has caught the attention of many. Mizora, Wyll’s patron from the hells, has also received special treatment from this dedicated creator, further bringing these characters into live-action realness.
One particular cosplay take on Shadowheart from Baldur's Gate 3 tackles a difficult costume challenge and emerges victorious in Shar's name.
Though Shadowheart speaks at length with the player about her desire to achieve the role of a Dark Justiciar, she was never meant to be a worshiper of Lady Shar. If a player befriends her and digs into her backstory, she’ll unveil that she has few recollections of her life before the mission she was sent on to retrieve the Astral Prism. Though Shadowheart claims her memories were wiped to protect her goddess’s base in Baldur’s Gate,the Nightsong confesses the cleric’s true history to her, if spared.
After freeing the Nightsong and winning the subsequent battle, the daughter of Selûne will share with Shadowheart that the cleric was originally raised in a household worshiping the Moonmaiden.
