The Taiwanese ratings board may have revealed the identity of another upcoming PlayStation Plus Classics title.
As spotted by Gematsu, the country’s classification body has rated Timesplitters for PS4 and PS5.
The Taiwanese ratings board is a regular source of product leaks, including several games that ended up coming to PlayStation Plus.
Originally released for PS2 in 2000, sci-fi first-person shooter TimeSplitters was the debut title from Free Radical Design and the first in a trilogy of games.
Following a disappointing reception to another FPS, Haze, and a cancelled Star Wars: Battlefront project, the studio went bankrupt in 2008 and would later be rebranded after being acquired by Crytek.
Plaion and its parent company Embracer Group announced in 2021 that a new Free Radical Design had been established by original founders Steve Ellis and David Doak to bring the TimeSplitters IP “back to life”.
However, the planned reboot was cancelled when Free Radical was closed last year as part of huge company-wide cuts at Embracer.
