It's one of the more challenging of the NYT puzzle games as you have to not only spell out words but you have to do so without picking a letter on the same side as the previous one. It can make it difficult to solve but we do have some tips and tricks to help with that as well.
The Spelling Bee puzzles created as a New York Times game build a streak of correct answers to get you more points, but they can be hard to keep.

This one didn't actually get solved until we had two other categories done. STEADY was the one we were most unsure about as it's less a nickname and more of a relationship status. After we had narrowed it down to these words, the final category made it easier to guess. At that point, there were not many options for words that could refer to people.

This one is all about how people insult each other, whether it be more lighthearted such as a «sick BURN» or a «light JAB» or something more harmful like a DIG or a SLIGHT that feels very passive-aggressive.
This category had the only words that matched with actions people commit toward each other, so we managed to solve this one first. BURN and FLAME have some similarities, but there were no other fire-related words that felt obvious enough to
