Rogue builds in can grow much stronger in Season 5 if they manage to get the Umbracrux Dagger, a powerful Ancestral Unique weapon. Along with several stat boosts, this item allows you to summon spectral allies to your side against the forces of evil plaguing Sanctuary. By pursuing a specific seasonal event, you may be able to earn this strong weapon quickly.
Before you try to get the Umbracrux Dagger, try to collect Infernal Compasses in tied to the content in the game's fifth season. This will help you unlock an alternate mode where you fight against enemy waves called the Infernal Hordes. Some of the best rewards come from challenging the Hordes, so it's worth having them available to pursue the Dagger.
Diablo 4: Season 5 introduces over three dozen new Aspects, with seven available to all. With the right gear, these Aspects can be truly great.
You can find the Umbracrux Dagger as an incredibly rare drop from world chests, Helltides, Nightmare Dungeons, or any places in Sanctuary that grant loot. However, the best place to find the Unique weapon is from the rewards of Infernal Hordes introduced in Season 5 worlds. The Aether you collect from Hordes helps unlock chests containing rare gear after defeating multiple enemy waves and bosses.
The harder you make an Infernal Horde, the more likely the Umbracrux Dagger will appear as loot when you tear through a round of enemy waves. Hellbreaches in on lower-difficulty World Tiers can help you prepare for tougher Hordes, which only exist on World Tiers 3 and 4. While the odds of getting this specific Dagger are low, you can always try to do Hordes again to farm other valuable rewards.
Usually, the chests from Infernal Hordes reward your character with items pertaining to their class. So, if you challenge the Hordes with a Rogue character, you have a higher chance of getting the Umbracrux Dagger.
Pursuing Season 5's main storyline will put you on a path leading to the Dagger since you have to complete seasonal content
