Over on YouTube, content creator Rob2628 demonstrated their impossible Barbarian build, illustrating the sheer power of the currently unknown glitch that can turn damage numbers into an infinity symbol.
Only possible on the game's Public Test Region server, which is currently testing the next major update, the process requires players to equip unique armor that increases the amount of damage the Barbarian deals when they're hit, known as Thorn damage. Triggered by the Whirlwind ability, which sets off a series of sub-skills, it's possible to break and dish out infinite damage.
As exciting as it is to see Rob2628 eviscerate a dungeon boss, it's doubtful that the infinite damage glitch will ever leave the PTR. While it is incredibly difficult to pull off and requires an unlimited amount of crafting resources, the chance that someone manages to achieve it in could have a disastrous effect on the meta-game. Blizzard is likely already aware of the bug and intends to squash it before the next patch goes live, especially with around the corner.
's first major expansion is slated to drop on October 8 so ahead of its arrival, Blizzard will want to ensure the base game is as stable as possible.
