Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch #7 went live for PC back in early September, but now it’s finally come to Mac and consoles.
Waiting has been the name of the game with Patch 7, but now the entire BG3 community can enjoy its many new features, including 13 new evil ending cinematics, improvements to Honour Mode, and most importantly, official mod support.
The current state of mod support allows players to add new weapons, classes, spells, dice skins and more, though Larian has stated this level of support would be the first iteration of mod support, with more to come in later updates depending on what the needs of the mod community are.
Unsurprisingly, mod support has been a hit with the patch, with one million mods installed via the new in-game mod menu just 24 hours after the update dropped on PC. Taking things even further, one modder blew open Larian’s mod tools allowing for level editing, save editing, and more.
There are a few more updates coming down the line for Baldur’s Gate 3 before Larian fully moves off to its yet to be announced next project. Some of the additions coming down the road include improved mod support, an official photo mode, and cross play.
