Provident Diablo Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred Ending Explained
In the Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred expansion storyline, we follow Neyrelle as she carries Mephisto's Soulstone through the jungles of Nahantu, while the Soulstone leaks a nasty black ichor corrupting everything it touches, including the Spirit Realm. Vessel of Hatred Campaign Questline Guide Spoiler Warning! This article contains spoilers for the Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred Campaign. As Neyrelle travels, our character seeks to locate her before Mephisto can overwhelm her and somehow escape his Soulstone prison. After a seemingly fatal encounter, we are revived by Eru, a Spiritborn mystic who becomes our guide throughout Nahantu. In the end, we learn that Eru has struck a deal with Mephisto: Eru will lead Neyrelle to Akarat's physical body in return for Mephisto's sparing Nahantu when he reigns again. During a tense moment, Eru steals Akarat's body and the Soulstone, bringing them to the Hall of the Dedicants beneath Travincal. He places the Soulstone upon Akarat's corpse, and this is where our ending cinematic begins: In the video, we see the uncorrupted Akarat sink into a haze of blackish ichor, then watch as Mephisto rises from the pool as the iconic prophet of Light. As he rises, everything in sight begins to decay.
