The unexpected but appreciated small-scale Metal Slug spin-off, Metal Slug Tactics, will arrive on PS5 and PS4 on November 5th. We've seen this tactical take in trailer form before, but in a solid block of gameplay, we are introduced to the game's Ikari Warriors, characters that hail from SNK's old Commando clone.
While series stalwarts Marco, Eri, and Fio are playable right out of the gate, Tarma, Ralf, Clark, and Leona will take a little more work to unlock. Tarma is a familiar face, the fourth member of the original Metal Slug crew. Ralf and Clark hail from the aforementioned Ikari Warriors series (and were playable in the later Metal Slug games), and Leona originally hails from the King of Fighters series. Each has their own weapons, abilities, strengths and weaknesses on the battlefield, and properly utilising the whole gang will be the secret to success.
Physical version planned

What an odd direction for Metal Slug to go.
@Sequel can you elaborate? Looks like a typical tactical (like the name suggests) game to me. I skipped trough the video and can't find roguelike elements. Do you have a timecode?
leona actually made her debut in 7 (not sure if base 7 or xx), not this game
I would love a demo for this one, patiently waiting for the reviews
