While we do have an appreciation for some classic sports games, like Everybody’s Tennis on PSP and NFL Street on PS2, it’s a genre that generally doesn’t age well. That’s not stopping QUByte from partnering with Atari to bring back a selection of Accolade outings on PS5 and PS4.
For those of you who just want to know what’s included, here’s the lineup:
As you’d expect from a modern compilation, all games will be updated with upscaled visuals, save states, filters, and more. There’s no release date attached.
To quote a classic from former PlayStation boss Jim Ryan, “Why would anyone play these?” Well, to be totally fair, we’ll try each one for a total of 15 seconds and move on. No one said game preservation had to include the cream of the crop!

It was insanely satisfying to throw a successful curveball in Hardball on the C64, so I might play these…for the aforementioned 15 seconds.

@Papa_Emeritus I think it's great that compilations like this are being made, and I will certainly buy it. But let's be real: these are not great games in 2024.
These games will benefit the most from PlayStation Super Spectral Resolution enhancement
I will buy this because of Summer Challenge and Winter Challenge.
I had Summer Challenge back then and played it a fair bit, it was fun, though I'm not sure I'd play it much today.
I'd much rather see a PS1 era summer games brought forward if there are any, the Saturn had Athlete King's which is still great to play today
