Epic Games has recognised two companies in Finland as an Unreal Authorized Training Center.
The engine giant has given the nod to Expa Game Business Co-operative and Digi & Game Center to be its first training centre. The former was founded in 2012 and has been supporting startups, indie devs and researchers in Central Finland. Digi & Game Center, meanwhile, was set up in 2020 and is a hub for a variety of companies, including those in the games industry.
Virtual production company Fireframe Studios, set up by Supercell co-founder Mikko Kodisoja, also played a role in the recognition from Epic Games.
“This recognition is a significant step for Finland’s creative industries,” Expa vice chair Tuomas Roininen said.
“Unreal Engine has applications far beyond gaming, and this recognition reflects its growing influence in fields like film, education, and architecture. The training offered here aims to enable professionals to fully leverage its potential”
