Some heroes excel at taking objectives solo in. This mostly comes from avoiding the enemy entirely, such as using stealth, moving incredibly fast, or full on warping to the goal. To achieve this, the opposition has to already be careless and leave the objective open for the taking. This mostly occurs on Convergence and Domination maps where the enemy might get agitated or bored waiting for you to advance. However, it is sometimes also possible to steal the Convoy from under their noses.
To help assist with movement and planning, be sure to toggle on Chronovision. This will show any destructible environment, including walls that can be broken to reveal shortcuts and flanking opportunities. By default, Chronovision is the B key on PC and right on the D-Pad on both PlayStation and Xbox consoles. With such a small map pool in , you will eventually be able to memorize the routes without the need of Chronovision.
Rather than marching straight forward from spawn to the objective, many abilities assist with deceiving the defenders. In an ideal game of, two or three characters might stay back to guard a location. But in reality, sometimes it is only one person or flat out no one from the enemy team. Be sure to always check the center HUD to see how many foes are directly on the objective and take advantage of their overextension.
Some characters can flat out become unseen by the enemy, allowing some limited stealth. Loki’s Deception is the most generous in, as it makes him invisible for an unlimited duration. However, it is broken by most other actions or when taking damage. Psylocke’s Psychic Stealth abililty might be more appealing, as it applies a movement speed bonus and doesn’t break when attacked. However, her version is limited to three seconds with a 15-second cooldown.
Cloak can make the whole team invisible with Dark Teleportion, but it is very short at only a two-second duration. But, further combine it with Terror Cape to keep the enemy from seeing beyond 10
