PlayStation suggested in early 2024 that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater would be out before the end of the year, though clearly, that’s not happening. Konami itself, meanwhile, hasn’t said much about the remake’s release date- though series producer Noriaki Okamura has now chimed in, suggesting that the game could finally launch in 2025.
In an end-of-year article published by 4Gamer, multiple Japanese developers have spoken about the year past and the year ahead. When asked about his aspirations for 2025, Okamura suggested that Konami is planning on releasing Metal Gear Solid Delta in the coming year.
“Our top priority is to deliver a polished and high-quality Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater to our fans,” Okamura said about his ambitions for the year (translation via Gematsu).
In September, Okamura stated that the game was playable from start to finish, and though there was still no concrete information on a release date, it wouldn’t be “years and years” away. Read more on that through here.
Whenever it launches, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
