The only way to gain access to the special blue chickens is by befriending Shane, one of the most unfriendly characters living in Pelican Town. While it may initially seem very difficult to get to know Shane since his early dialogue frequently asks you to go away or why you're even trying to talk to him, he’s one of the easier villagers to win over. Shane has a lot of loved gifts, which earn the most friendship points when gifted to him, that are available to buy right away.
